SNSD Continues Comeback on Music Core

Building off of yesterday's comeback stage, SM nonagon SNSD staged both hit single "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)" and the fluffy "Etude" on MBC Music Core.

Here's the debut performance of Etude:

The song, dance, and outfits are all reminiscent of SNSD's earlier days, and definitely put the Girl in Girls' Generation. Prancing around in azure dresses, blue belts, and a rainbow of stockings, the group does look cute, albeit a little more mature and less overwhelming than the "Kissing You" era.

As expected, it was a tighter, better-sounding performance from the genies, even if they resemble girl scouts as opposed to wish-granters. Many S♥NEs are yearning for the white outfits displayed in the teaser pictures, instead of the UPS/Girl Scout outfits they've worn so far. Note to all stylists: leave brown to the cavemen. Music Core's cameramen were also able to capture more of the choreography's strong points, catching the Hyoyeon-Taeyeon mic-exchange and snappy ending to perfection. Alas, their camerawork was not without some glaring mistakes, as the lack of Yuri's leggy flip-action and Taeyeon's ad-lib diva-face put a pout on many a face.

Yuri and Tiffany emceed Music Core as usual, but perhaps due to their group's presence on the show, provided a bunch of YulTi skinship to the delight of S♥NEs and byuntaes everywhere.

Behind Tiffany, there's a line longer than Sooyoung's legs waiting for their turn to check Yuri's heartbeat.

SHINee’s Homage to Michael Jackson

Over the course of their short careers, SHINee has often discussed and displayed their admiration for the late Michael Jackson. Whether as Taemin's dance inspiration, Jonghyun's singing inspiration, or as Onew's entire inspiration, it's clear that the King of Pop has played a vital role in these teenagers' careers. So, as a small ode to Michael, the boys performed a short dance cover of his song "Heartbreaker" for their intro on MBC Music Core.

After looking rather fly in their formal garb and showcasing some signature MJ moves, the boys take the "Juliette" stage in... tie-dye explosion. I guess Michael Jackson did reign during the tie-dye filled 80s, so it kind of works out. Unfortunately, it seems that Music Core's producers tried to give viewers seizures with blinding lights and dizzying camera angles, ruining the rather cool-looking set. Their cameras' capture of the SHINee rotating pentagon during the song's bridge was rather novel though, so it wasn't all sickening.

Speaking of sickening, it seems Onew has recovered from yesterday's ordeal, though SHINee's leader still looks a bit tired. The exhausting pop-star schedule and recent ankle/tooth injuries were probably larger factors of his fainting than the falling of the structure itself, with the chaos from the debacle simply acting as a trigger for his sensory overload. Fellow pop stars 2PM revealed in a recent interview that the typical amount of sleep during promotions are around 3-4 hours. Considering all of the singing, dancing, and running around from recording to recording that K-pop stars do, it's no surprise that stars like Onew, SS501's Hyun Joong, and Lee Hyori are being hospitalized. But, Korea's work-'til-you-drop culture doesn't appear to be going away any time soon, so fans can only sit and hope that their stars are being kept in good health.

2PM Releases “I Hate You” MV

Although I was disappointed to find out that 2PM's new music video for "니가밉다 (I Hate You)" was just a compilation of backstage footage, I changed my mind after watching the video. The video makes you reminisce, especially for the old 2PM fans, who have stuck by 2PM's side and watched them grow since their flips galore "10점 만점에 10점 (10 Out of 10)" promotion days. The MV gives us the inside look, from their practices to concerts and even fan signings and photo shoots, of the group that is capturing hearts around the world with their goofy personalities, 2PM. Although the video is packed with a whole bunch of fun and laughter, it also shows us how much these boys worked their bottoms off to be where they are today. Check it out below.

Oh how I miss 2PM's old debut days. I know most people became fans after their hit song "Again & Again", but I am still stuck on their old songs, as listening to "10 Out of 10" and "Only You" is still part of my daily routine. Sad? Super Junior’s Sungmin injured during Music Bank Rehearsal

It seems that Super Junior's Sungmin injured his knee during a KBS Music Bank rehearsal after tripping up on one of the stage props. An observer mentioned, "Sungmin fell during rehearsal and hurt his ankle. He needed help getting off of the stage and needed to receive medical treatment."

SM Entertainment also revealed, "During the rehearsal, his knee also ripped because of his fall. He was evacuated quickly and sent to the hospital to receive stitches."

Despite his injuries, Sungmin stood on the stage as was originally planned. A viewer admired, "Sungmin's desire to stand on the stage is really shining through. Even with his injury, he planned on performing on stage during the live performance."

Initial news reports over the collapse of KBS Music Bank's lighting structure and SHINee leader Onew's subsequent fainting understated the chaos and severity of the whole debacle. Netizens are suspecting that KBS is trying to keep their endangerment of our favorite pop stars on the down low, but in the Internet era, constricting information on a public event is a near-impossibility. Fancams which show the extent of the accident are starting to pop up, with fans of all groups appalled at the music show's lack of care for their dangerously large equipment.

The video depicts that the equipment did in fact fall all the way to ground level, possibly endangering both staff and our favorite stars. We can see that the performers were directly involved in the incident by the photo above (one can spot Super Junior's Yesung and Sungmin, amongst others), and in the videos below.

[1:00 top] [1:08 bottom] Though we cannot see the light falling directly, we can infer that the light fixture began to fall somewhere around here, from the fans' screams and the flurry of pop stars running from the light.

Hopefully this near-disaster serves as a wake-up call to music shows and music companies, who should ensure the safety of their staff and stars.

Selain mereka di tahun ini siapa lagi ya yang akan sibuk?
Yaitu para personil Big Bang !
Pertamanya di tahun ini Victory mengeluarkan album solo.
Reaksinya sangat bagus sekali, selain Victory ada siapa lagi ya?
Yaitu DaeSung , kalau DaeSung dari tahun kemarin juga sudah sibuk dengan syuting ‘Family’ (패밀리가 떴다.) Program itu sangat unik sekali dan juga kita bisa lihat sifatnya DaeSung yang senang bercanda.
Dengar-dengar di tahun ini DaeSung akan mengeluarkan album solo, dan uniknya alirannya seperti lagu Dangdut.
Yang menulis dan membuat lagunya adalah G-dragon.

Artinya di judul ini adalah, sekarang ini ekonomi Korea sedang kurang baik, bahwa semua orang-orang yang mendengar lagu ini akan membuat lebih semangat !

Akhirnya muncul juga ya? F4 versi Korea. (Boys Flowers)
Tetapi sayangnya banyak yang mengeritik dengan drama tersebut.
Soalnya banyak yang harap dengan cerita F4 versi Korea sangat bagus,
tetapi sepertinya para penonton sangat kecewa dengan ceritanya.
Banyak yang mengatakan ceritanya tidak begitu nyata dalam hidup kita dan juga sangat bermateriallitas.
Apakah drama tersebut bisa akan bangkit dengan baik?
Coba pelan-pelan kita lihat ya.. mudah-mudahan mendapat sambutan yang bagus dari para penonton semangat ya Boys Flowers!
